We closed out StoryAtlas 2016 with a four-week workshop on the topic of, “Overcoming Your Acting Weakness.” We had a remarkable group of actors!
We honor two actors every month. One is chosen based on the quality of the final performance (EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE AWARD). The other is based on our observation of the actor’s growth and insight into the topic over the entire four-week class (BREAKTHROUGH AWARD).
This month, our “Excellence in Performance Award” went to Richie Lillard, for his role as Mac Sledge in the original screenplay “Tender Mercies” by Horton Foote. Singer-Actress Kirsten Holly Smith appeared opposite Mr. Lillard in the scene.
Our “Breakthrough Award” went to Shereen Khan for her comedic performance in the screenplay “After Hours” by Joseph Minion, in the role of Julie opposite Mauricio Soto as Paul.
