This past Sunday, we closed out yet another cycle of StoryAtlas, this time on the topic of, “Genre Study: Mystery/Suspense.” We had a remarkable group of actors and they did extremely well with tense subject matter.
We honor two actors every month. One is based on the quality of performance the final night (EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE AWARD). The other is based on our observation of the actor’s growth and insight into the topic over the entire four-week class (BREAKTHROUGH AWARD).
This month, our “Excellence in Performance Award” went to Marsha Morgan, for her hilarious and disturbed portrayal of Mrs. Castevet from ROSEMARY’S BABY. Ms. Morgan’s fearlessness in her performance greatly impressed our panel.
Our “Breakthrough Award” went to class monitor Eduardo Torres for his role as The Cowboy in MULHOLLAND DRIVE. Torres found a sense of his own power which he used exceedingly well to build the character of a mysterious, intimidating enforcer.
StoryAtlas Honorees for June:
Excellence in Performance Award: Marsha Morgan for her role as Mrs. Castevet in ROSEMARY’S BABY.
Breakthrough Award: Eduardo Torres for his role as The Cowboy in MULHOLLAND DRIVE.
Thanks so much for this wonderful writeup. Huge congratulations to Eduardo Torres. He is a terrific and powerful actor, as well as our ever gracious and professional class monitor. oxoxo
Way to go lady M.
