Ongoing Virtual Acting Classes – January 2020
monologue thursdays
Make a choice. Show up every Thursday. Develop a monologue.
In this three-hour class, you’ll receive time to perform and receive feedback on an assigned monologue. The class runs for four weeks.
$100.00
This monologue class will start with a choice from you: would you rather be assigned a monologue that plays to your strengths…or do you prefer to be cast against type to develop new facets of your acting game? Either way, we’ll start with a brief consultation to learn about you, then assign a monologue. You’ll be challenged to identify the most intriguing elements of the character for you…and to build the performance based on your own passion, while balancing the detective work of understanding and integrating the author’s intent and the environment of the character. To make Zoom work for us rather than against us, we’ll pay special attention to the requirements of the close-up in conveying your performance.
Thursday, January 7th, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
